About the Role

Marketing Coordinators will be supporting the Marketing Director in brand development, social media management, content creation, and graphic design at a thriving NGO. As a Marketing Coordinator, you will work to promote the activities of BIA initiatives and market the organization’s overall vision.


Qualifications and Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of social media creation tools such as Canva, Photoshop and more

  • Knowledge of social media platforms including and not limited to Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter and more

  • Website and/or Graphic design experience is an asset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • General knowledge of non-profits

  • Passionate about Black community engagement and social justice 

  • Access to a laptop and basic understanding of Zoom, Google and Slack


  • Support the Marketing Director in planning and execution of BIAs social media campaigns and other communications projects

  • Manage and redesign components of the BIAs website

  • Assist with idea generation, content creation, and copywriting for promotional materials such as Facebook and Instagram posts, LinkedIn articles, and newsletters

  • Manage social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and respond to inquiries as needed
